There is a vast difference between restoration and resurrection. Resurrection is from above − the “birth from above” and restoration is simply the passage through the gate called death to be restored into a similar body, but young, unaccountably new. ... Restoration is a temporary state after physical death where individuals are re-embodied in a youthful, perfect physical form in a similar world, continuing their journey of experience and learning. Resurrection, however, is the ultimate 'birth from above,' a spiritual transformation into an immortal body of glory, signifying true awakening and freedom.

Resurrection differs completely from restoration. All bodies are restored. It’s a miracle. And the Being is still continuing in a world just like this. Those who are resurrected do not enter that world. They are in Heaven. They are one with the body of the Risen Christ – without loss of identity. And every one who is restored – and all are restored – they continue in a world just like this one, with the same problems. They marry there, too, and they are just as afraid of dying there as they are here; and they die there too, to be restored again. And this restoration goes on until they awake in the tomb of their own skull, and when they have the birth from above.
"Restoration" refers to the immediate renewal of individuals to a youthful, perfect body in a terrestrial world similar to this one, where they continue to live, marry, and die. "Resurrection," however, is a unique, final event where one awakens from the skull-tomb, becomes one with the body of the Risen Christ, and enters Heaven, without loss of individual identity.
