  13. 13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.οἳ οὐκ ἐξ αἱμάτων οὐδὲ ἐκ θελήματος σαρκὸς οὐδὲ ἐκ θελήματος ἀνδρὸς ἀλλ’ ἐκ θεοῦ ἐγεννήθησαν
  14. 14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.Καὶ ὁ λόγος σὰρξ ἐγένετο καὶ ἐσκήνωσεν ἐν ἡμῖν καὶ ἐθεασάμεθα τὴν δόξαν αὐτοῦ δόξαν ὡς μονογενοῦς παρὰ πατρός πλήρης χάριτος καὶ ἀληθείας
  15. 15John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.Ἰωάννης μαρτυρεῖ περὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ κέκραγεν λέγων Οὗτος ἦν ⸂ὃν εἶπον⸃ Ὁ ὀπίσω μου ἐρχόμενος ἔμπροσθέν μου γέγονεν ὅτι πρῶτός μου ἦν
  16. 16And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.⸀ὅτι ἐκ τοῦ πληρώματος αὐτοῦ ἡμεῖς πάντες ἐλάβομεν καὶ χάριν ἀντὶ χάριτος
  17. 17For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.ὅτι ὁ νόμος διὰ ἐδόθη ἡ χάρις καὶ ἡ ἀλήθεια διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ ἐγένετο
  18. 18No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.θεὸν οὐδεὶς ἑώρακεν πώποτε ⸂μονογενὴς θεὸς⸃ ὁ ὢν εἰς τὸν κόλπον τοῦ πατρὸς ἐκεῖνος ἐξηγήσατο
  19. 19And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?Καὶ αὕτη ἐστὶν ἡ μαρτυρία τοῦ Ἰωάννου ὅτε ⸀ἀπέστειλαν οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι ἐξ Ἱεροσολύμων ἱερεῖς καὶ ἵνα ἐρωτήσωσιν αὐτόν Σὺ τίς εἶ
  20. 20And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.καὶ ὡμολόγησεν καὶ οὐκ ἠρνήσατο καὶ ὡμολόγησεν ὅτι ⸂Ἐγὼ οὐκ εἰμὶ⸃ ὁ χριστός
  21. 21And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.καὶ ἠρώτησαν αὐτόν Τί οὖν ⸂σὺ εἶ⸃ καὶ λέγει Οὐκ εἰμί Ὁ προφήτης εἶ σύ καὶ ἀπεκρίθη
  22. 22Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?εἶπαν οὖν αὐτῷ Τίς εἶ ἵνα ἀπόκρισιν δῶμεν τοῖς πέμψασιν ἡμᾶς τί λέγεις περὶ σεαυτοῦ
  23. 23He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.ἔφη Ἐγὼ φωνὴ βοῶντος ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Εὐθύνατε τὴν ὁδὸν κυρίου καθὼς εἶπεν ὁ προφήτης
  24. 24And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.⸀Καὶ ἀπεσταλμένοι ἦσαν ἐκ τῶν Φαρισαίων
  25. 25And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?καὶ ἠρώτησαν αὐτὸν καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ Τί οὖν βαπτίζεις εἰ σὺ οὐκ εἶ ὁ χριστὸς ⸂οὐδὲ οὐδὲ⸃ ὁ προφήτης
  26. 26John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰωάννης λέγων Ἐγὼ βαπτίζω ἐν ὕδατι ⸀μέσος ὑμῶν ⸀ἕστηκεν ὃν ὑμεῖς οὐκ
  27. 27He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.⸀ὁ ὀπίσω μου ⸀ἐρχόμενος οὗ ⸂οὐκ εἰμὶ⸃ ἄξιος ἵνα λύσω αὐτοῦ τὸν ἱμάντα τοῦ ὑποδήματος
  28. 28These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.ταῦτα ἐν Βηθανίᾳ ἐγένετο πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου ὅπου ἦν ⸀ὁ Ἰωάννης βαπτίζων
  29. 29The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.Τῇ ἐπαύριον βλέπει τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἐρχόμενον πρὸς αὐτόν καὶ λέγει Ἴδε ὁ ἀμνὸς τοῦ θεοῦ ὁ αἴρων τὴν ἁμαρτίαν τοῦ κόσμου
  30. 30This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.οὗτός ἐστιν ⸀ὑπὲρ οὗ ἐγὼ εἶπον Ὀπίσω μου ἔρχεται ἀνὴρ ὃς ἔμπροσθέν μου γέγονεν ὅτι πρῶτός μου ἦν
  31. 31And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.κἀγὼ οὐκ αὐτόν ἀλλ’ ἵνα φανερωθῇ τῷ Ἰσραὴλ διὰ τοῦτο ἦλθον ἐγὼ ⸀ἐν ὕδατι βαπτίζων
  32. 32And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.καὶ ἐμαρτύρησεν Ἰωάννης λέγων ὅτι Τεθέαμαι τὸ πνεῦμα καταβαῖνον ⸀ὡς περιστερὰν ἐξ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἔμεινεν ἐπ’ αὐτόν
  33. 33And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.κἀγὼ οὐκ αὐτόν ἀλλ’ ὁ πέμψας με βαπτίζειν ἐν ὕδατι ἐκεῖνός μοι εἶπεν Ἐφ’ ὃν ἂν ἴδῃς τὸ πνεῦμα καταβαῖνον καὶ μένον ἐπ’ αὐτόν οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ βαπτίζων ἐν πνεύματι ἁγίῳ
  34. 34And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.κἀγὼ ἑώρακα καὶ μεμαρτύρηκα ὅτι οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ ⸀ἐκλεκτὸς τοῦ θεοῦ
  35. 35Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;Τῇ ἐπαύριον πάλιν εἱστήκει ⸀ὁ Ἰωάννης καὶ ἐκ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ δύο
  36. 36And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!καὶ ἐμβλέψας τῷ Ἰησοῦ περιπατοῦντι λέγει Ἴδε ὁ ἀμνὸς τοῦ θεοῦ
  37. 37And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.καὶ ἤκουσαν ⸂οἱ δύο μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ⸃ λαλοῦντος καὶ ἠκολούθησαν τῷ Ἰησοῦ
  38. 38Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?στραφεὶς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς καὶ θεασάμενος αὐτοὺς ἀκολουθοῦντας λέγει αὐτοῖς Τί ζητεῖτε οἱ δὲ εἶπαν αὐτῷ Ῥαββί ὃ λέγεται ⸀μεθερμηνευόμενον Διδάσκαλε ποῦ μένεις
  39. 39He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.λέγει αὐτοῖς Ἔρχεσθε καὶ ⸂ὄψεσθε ἦλθαν οὖν⸃ καὶ εἶδαν ποῦ μένει καὶ παρ’ αὐτῷ ἔμειναν τὴν ἡμέραν ἐκείνην ὥρα ἦν ὡς δεκάτη
  40. 40One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.ἦν Ἀνδρέας ὁ ἀδελφὸς Σίμωνος Πέτρου εἷς ἐκ τῶν δύο τῶν ἀκουσάντων παρὰ Ἰωάννου καὶ ἀκολουθησάντων αὐτῷ
  41. 41He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.εὑρίσκει οὗτος ⸀πρῶτον τὸν ἀδελφὸν τὸν ἴδιον Σίμωνα καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ Εὑρήκαμεν τὸν Μεσσίαν ὅ ἐστιν μεθερμηνευόμενον χριστός
