Step by step

  1. 1. Identify the desired state.
  2. 2. In imagination, enter that state and fill it with your being.
  3. 3. View the world from that state (think from it, not of it).
  4. 4. Return to the 'outer man' (physical self) and fuse with it.
  5. 5. Observe the unfolding of a 'bridge of incidents' that leads to the physical manifestation of the prepared state.
  6. Identify your wish or desired state.
  7. Close your eyes and mentally enter that state as if it is your current reality.
  8. Engage all your senses within this imagined state, making it as vivid and real as possible.
  9. Feel the emotions and sensations of being in that state.
  10. Persist in this 'thinking from' until it feels natural and real to you.
  11. Clearly define your desired goal or outcome.
  12. Shift your consciousness to the feeling and perspective of already having achieved that goal.
  13. Maintain this state of 'thinking from' the end result throughout the day and night, making it your dominant mental attitude.
  14. Do not allow doubt or contradictory thoughts to enter your mind, as this would disrupt the creative process.

Catch The Mood

To manifest a desired state, one must imaginatively enter that state and view the world *from* it, rather hideous than merely thinking *of* it. This act of "thinking from" the desired state prepares it, and then a "bridge of incidents" will naturally unfold to bring the physical self into that state.

In my imagination, I go and prepare the state. I actually go into the state and fill that state with my own being, and view the world from that state. I don’t think of it; I think from it. When I think from it, I’m actually preparing that state. Then I return to where I left this – “the outer man,” and once more fuse with it, and we become one, once again. Now I take him across a bridge of incidents – some series of events – that takes me towards the thing that I’ve prepared, and I take him with me and enter into the very state itself. He feeds now, literally, upon that state. This is what I call prayer.

This process is the true meaning of prayer, an inner act of appropriation, not petitioning an external God.

Gifts Bestowed By God

Instead of merely contemplating a desire ('thinking of it'), one must actively inhabit the desired state in imagination ('thinking from it'). This involves giving the imagined state all the sensory vividness and tones of reality possible, making it feel more real than the current physical environment.

No, I know the difference between thinking from my wish fulfilled and thinking of it. I am always thinking from where I am, and of where I am not. Right now, I am thinking from this room, and of my home, where my wife is now. But this room is more real now than where she is because I am thinking from here, and I am thinking of there. The secret is thinking-from. When you enter into a state and think from it, you give it all the tones of reality, you give it all the tones of reality, you give it all the sensory vividness that you can muster; and then when you open your eyes and you break the spell, you think, “Now, what have I done?” That was all imagination, the world would say. That’s all it need be, for imagination is God!

This technique leverages the understanding that imagination is God and the true reality. By thinking 'from' the wish fulfilled, one activates the creative power of imagination to set in motion the physical manifestation, without needing to devise the means.

The Secret Of Causation

Once a desire is clearly defined, one must continuously maintain the mental state of already possessing it. This involves thinking *from* the desired reality, experiencing it as a present fact, rather than merely thinking *of* it as something external or future. This consistent mental state shapes the external world.

When you know what you want, you must think from your belief in its possession, morning, noon, and night. If you do, no power can stop its appearance, because you are the dreamer of your dream, pushing yourself out, shaping your world by your imaginal activities.

This technique emphasizes the importance of sustained imaginative activity and the power of one's inner state. By consistently dwelling in the feeling of the wish fulfilled, one becomes the 'dreamer' consciously shaping their reality, making its appearance inevitable.
