Step by step
- Review the day in your mind's eye, starting from the first incident.
- Identify any scene that displeased you or was not as perfect as it could have been.
- Stop at that scene and revise it, rewriting it to conform to your ideal experience.
- Experience the revised scene in your imagination as though it happened in the flesh.
- Repeat this imaginative experience until it takes on the tone of reality.
- Refuse to accept the "facts of the day" as final, no matter how factual they appear.
- At the end of the day, review the day's events.
- Identify any 'unlovely' or undesirable incident.
- Go back to that specific moment in your imagination.
- Rewrite the scene to how it 'ought to have played' or to a more idealistic experience.
- Replay this revised version in your imagination over and over.
- Continue replaying until the revised scene takes on the 'tones of reality' and feels natural.
- Understand that this imaginative act changes your future and helps awaken the inner man.

Awakened Imagination
Revision is the practice of reviewing one's day in imagination, identifying any displeasing or imperfect incidents, and mentally rewriting and re-experiencing them as ideal. This process, done repeatedly until it feels real, prevents past undesirable events from perpetuating into the future and instead brings about corresponding positive changes in the outer world. It is based on the principle of not letting the "sun go down upon your wrath" by refusing to accept negative facts as final.
Now this morning I have brought you the means by which this mighty power in us may be awakened. I call it the art of revision... But if I refuse to allow the sun to descend upon my wrath, so that at the end of a day I never accept as final the facts of the day, no matter how factual they are, I never accept them, and revising it I repeal the day and bring about corresponding changes in my outer world.
Revision is the means to awaken the mighty power of imagination within. By mentally altering past events to align with an ideal, one changes the future and repeals the negative impact of the past. This is a practical application of the biblical injunction against letting the sun set on one's anger, extending it to all undesirable experiences.
The Coin Of Heaven
At the end of each day, review the day's events. If any 'unlovely thing' occurred, mentally rewrite the scene to conform to a more idealistic experience. Replay this revised version in your imagination repeatedly until it feels real, thereby changing your future.
try it today with the art of revision. At the end of this day, review today. If some unlovely thing in the day, don't allow it, you rewrite it. Take that same scene and rewrite it, and having rewritten it replay it. In your imagination you imagine the action to be unfolding and you replay everything in the world; as you replay it as you ought to have played it the first time you've changed it. ... Go back to that moment in time. rewrite it, replay it in the revised version, and do it over and over in your imagination until that takes on the tones of reality. As it takes on the tones of reality you have changed your future. Take another incident and change it and keep on changing all the little episodes, all the little experiences and make them conform to a more idealistic experience and relive it.
Revision is the act of consciously interfering with one's 'time track' by imaginatively altering past events. By replaying a revised version until it feels real, one changes the future trajectory, preventing the automatic recurrence of undesirable experiences and awakening the inner man.
