Step by step

  1. Identify a past event you wish to change or 'unmake'.
  2. Go back to that scene in your imagination.
  3. Mentally re-enact the scene, but change the details to reflect the desired outcome.
  4. Experience the revised scene with all your senses and emotions, making it as real as possible.
  5. Repeat this imaginative act until it feels natural and you are satisfied with the new version.
  6. Allow yourself to fall asleep in this revised feeling, if possible.

Revision is the imaginative act of mentally re-enacting a past event, changing it to align with a desired outcome. This involves going back to the scene in imagination and re-experiencing it as if it happened differently, until the new version feels real and natural.

Use your strange Imagination and “turn the great wheel backward until Troy un-burns.” It means to revise. I know a lady who burned her hand and then “unburned” it. She poured boiling water on her hand. She lay on the couch and tried to unto mentally what had been done. It was difficult because of the pain but she kept trying. She redid the scene and poured the boiling water on the tea and brewed it and then she drank the tea. She did it over and over and finally in the act of thus making the tea she fell asleep. When she awoke some hours later, there was no trace of the burn. She wrote: “You would have thought I should go right to the hospital, but now there is not even a sign of the burn.”

This technique demonstrates that the past is not fixed but can be altered through the power of imagination. By revising a past event, one can change its effects in the present and future, proving the malleability of reality and the power of forgiveness and self-correction.
