To meditate, turn attention inward, closing eyes to the outer world, and center all attention within the skull. This is where one's True Being (God) resides. Physical posture is irrelevant; the focus is purely internal. One can observe inner luminosity or appropriate a desired state.

I turn my attention inwards -- into my skull, and I ask no favors of any one. I simply go in. If I have nothing at the moment to appropriate, I just simply -- for the joy of looking on the inside to watch the golden clouds form. They always form like a halo around the head. It’s a simple matter, as though the whole dark convolutions of the brain grow luminous. And it takes no time for them to become luminous. So, I simply observe them. If I go for a purpose, while there I appropriate my gift or appropriate my wish. But if I raise my chin, my dear, don’t think for one second that it has any significance. So, don’t duplicate any physical action. Imitate the action in this sense: Go within. Close your eyes to the outer world. Go within, and center your entire attention within your skull. That’s where He is! That is where your True Being is.

The skull is the seat of consciousness and the dwelling place of God. By focusing attention there, one connects with their True Being, allowing for either passive observation of inner phenomena or active appropriation of desired states.
