Step by step
- Identify an undesirable external fact or circumstance.
- Consciously decide not to accept this fact as final or true.
- In your imagination, vividly perceive the desired opposite of that fact.
- "See what you want to see" and "hear what you want to hear" in your inner world, overriding sensory input.
- Maintain this inner perception until it feels real.

Consciously refuse to accept the evidence of the physical senses (what you see and hear) as the final truth, especially when it contradicts your desired reality. Instead, actively choose to 'see what you want to see' and 'hear what you want to hear' in your imagination.
Listen to it carefully: When he comes into the world, "He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide by what his ears hear." (Isaiah 11:3) So I see. I go to the hospital, you are dying. Go to see anyone else and you see him – it is fatal, regardless of the nature. They can’t get [a] job – there are too many unemployed – this, that, and the other. There it is, the fact. I will not now judge "by what my eye sees, neither will I decide by what my ears hear." So what will I do then? I will see what I want to see – then a shin is present. It consumes the former state; it completely consumes the past as it seems to be real, and I will put in its place what I want to see and what I want to hear.
This technique is based on the understanding that 'truth depends upon the intensity of imagining and not upon facts.' By not judging by appearances, one activates the 'Shin' (consuming fire) within the name of Jesus (I AM), which consumes the undesirable former state and replaces it with the imagined reality.
