Your Faith Is Your Fortune
The beliefs in the potency of drugs to heal, diets to strengthen, moneys to secure, are the values or money changers that must be thrown out of the Temple. "Ye are the Temple of the Living God," a Temple made without hands. It is written, "My house shall be called of all nations a house of prayer, but ye have made it a den of thieves." The thieves who rob you are your own false beliefs. It is your belief in a thing not the thing itself that aids you. There is only one power: I AM He. Because of your belief in external things you think power into them by transferring the power that you are to the external thing. Realize you yourself are the power you have mistakenly given to outer conditions. The Bible compares the opinionated man to the camel who could not go through the needle's eye. The needle's eye referred to was a small gate in the walls of Jerusalem which was so narrow that a camel could not go through it until relieved of its pack. The rich man, that is the one burdened with false human concepts, cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven until relieved of his burden any more than could the camel go through this small gate.
Man's consciousness is the 'Temple of the Living God.' False beliefs in external powers (drugs, diets, money) are the 'thieves' or 'money changers' that rob him of his true power. Recognizing that 'I AM He' and that one's own consciousness is the power, frees one from these burdens, allowing entry into the 'Kingdom of Heaven' (a state of true value).
The Creative Use Of Imagination
Where you stand, the ground is holy, for you are the temple of the living God. Clear your mind of the trees of traditional thinking. Become pure in heart and you will see that consciousness is all and all is consciousness. You will discover that the state you are conscious of being is the state made manifest. No matter how reasoning justifies acts of violence, don’t accept them. If you do, you contribute to the state and it is a state you do not want to experience. The story is told of Jesus entering the temple and ridding it of the money lenders saying, “My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.” This is not a material temple. You are the temple of the living God and the Bible is your biography. Thieves have taken over your house of prayer by placing false values there. Rid your mind of all beliefs of outside causes and reinstate the only true value of consciousness, the only true power of love.
The individual is the 'temple of the living God', meaning their consciousness is holy. 'Money lenders' and 'thieves' represent false values and beliefs in external causes that defile this inner temple. To purify the temple, one must rid the mind of these external dependencies and reinstate the true power of consciousness and love.
