The Hidden Cause
The gospel tells us of a pattern which repeats itself in everyone, for every child born of woman has within him an ancestral self, a heavenly being who supports him. This is the one who said: 'I will never leave you or forsake you.' ... Every person you meet... is alive because your ancestral being who has no beginning and no end is behind his mask, as he is behind yours. That one is taking him through the necessary experiences to make him one with himself... Eventually you and he will return to that one being who sent you out in the first place. That is your destiny. ... You are an immortal being. You were the Son of God long before the universe came into being. It was you who brought it into appearance for this great experiment. You are a ray of the being you really are, one with He who is radiating you. And He will not forsake you, but will continue to put you through the paces as He fashions you into his likeness. Then He receives unto himself all of the experiences through which you will have passed, and is enhanced and glorified by them. He is afflicted as you are afflicted. He suffers as you suffer, and when you return you and He are one, for the being radiating is one with the ray.
Man's true identity is an 'ancestral self,' a 'heavenly being,' the 'Son of God,' an emanation or ray of the Godhead. This divine self is immortal, never forsakes the individual, and guides them through experiences to ultimately return to and become one with the originating being, thereby enhancing and glorifying the Godhead. This journey is a 'great experiment.'
