- 1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.Καὶ μοι ⸀ποταμὸν ὕδατος ζωῆς λαμπρὸν ὡς κρύσταλλον ἐκπορευόμενον ἐκ τοῦ θρόνου τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τοῦ ἀρνίου
- 2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.ἐν μέσῳ τῆς πλατείας αὐτῆς καὶ τοῦ ποταμοῦ ἐντεῦθεν καὶ ἐκεῖθεν ξύλον ζωῆς ποιοῦν καρποὺς δώδεκα κατὰ μῆνα ἕκαστον ⸀ἀποδιδοῦν τὸν καρπὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰ φύλλα τοῦ ξύλου εἰς θεραπείαν τῶν ἐθνῶν
- 3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:καὶ πᾶν οὐκ ἔσται ἔτι καὶ ὁ θρόνος τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τοῦ ἀρνίου ἐν αὐτῇ ἔσται καὶ οἱ δοῦλοι αὐτοῦ λατρεύσουσιν αὐτῷ
- 4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.καὶ ὄψονται τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τῶν μετώπων αὐτῶν
- 5And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.καὶ νὺξ οὐκ ἔσται ⸀ἔτι καὶ ⸂οὐκ ἔχουσιν χρείαν⸃ ⸀φωτὸς λύχνου καὶ ⸀φῶς ἡλίου ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεὸς φωτίσει ⸀ἐπ’ αὐτούς καὶ βασιλεύσουσιν εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων
- 6And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.Καὶ ⸀εἶπέν μοι Οὗτοι οἱ λόγοι πιστοὶ καὶ ἀληθινοί καὶ ⸀ὁ κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πνευμάτων τῶν προφητῶν ἀπέστειλεν τὸν ἄγγελον αὐτοῦ τοῖς δούλοις αὐτοῦ ἃ δεῖ γενέσθαι ἐν τάχει
- 7Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.καὶ ἰδοὺ ἔρχομαι ταχύ μακάριος ὁ τηρῶν τοὺς λόγους τῆς προφητείας τοῦ βιβλίου τούτου
- 8And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.Κἀγὼ Ἰωάννης ὁ ἀκούων καὶ βλέπων ταῦτα καὶ ὅτε ἤκουσα καὶ ἔβλεψα ἔπεσα προσκυνῆσαι ἔμπροσθεν τῶν ποδῶν τοῦ ἀγγέλου τοῦ μοι ταῦτα
- 9Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.καὶ λέγει μοι Ὅρα μή σύνδουλός σού εἰμι καὶ τῶν ἀδελφῶν σου τῶν προφητῶν καὶ τῶν τηρούντων τοὺς λόγους τοῦ βιβλίου τούτου τῷ θεῷ προσκύνησον
- 10And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.Καὶ λέγει μοι Μὴ σφραγίσῃς τοὺς λόγους τῆς προφητείας τοῦ βιβλίου τούτου ὁ καιρὸς γὰρ ἐγγύς ἐστιν
- 11He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.ὁ ἀδικῶν ἀδικησάτω ἔτι καὶ ὁ ῥυπαρὸς ἔτι καὶ ὁ δίκαιος δικαιοσύνην ποιησάτω ἔτι καὶ ὁ ἅγιος ἁγιασθήτω ἔτι
- 12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.Ἰδοὺ ἔρχομαι ταχύ καὶ ὁ μισθός μου μετ’ ἐμοῦ ἀποδοῦναι ἑκάστῳ ὡς τὸ ἔργον ⸀ἐστὶν αὐτοῦ
- 13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.ἐγὼ τὸ καὶ τὸ ὁ πρῶτος καὶ ὁ ἔσχατος ⸀ἡ ἀρχὴ καὶ ⸀τὸ τέλος
- 14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.Μακάριοι οἱ ⸂πλύνοντες τὰς στολὰς αὐτῶν⸃ ἵνα ἔσται ἡ ἐξουσία αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὸ ξύλον τῆς ζωῆς καὶ τοῖς πυλῶσιν εἰσέλθωσιν εἰς τὴν πόλιν
- 15For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.ἔξω οἱ κύνες καὶ οἱ φάρμακοι καὶ οἱ πόρνοι καὶ οἱ φονεῖς καὶ οἱ εἰδωλολάτραι καὶ πᾶς φιλῶν καὶ ποιῶν ψεῦδος
