- 1[A Psalm of Asaph.] Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.מִזְמ֗וֹר לְאָ֫סָ֥ף אַ֤ךְ ט֭וֹב לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל אֱלֹהִ֗ים לְבָרֵ֥י לֵבָֽב
- 2But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.וַאֲנִ֗י כִּ֭מְעַט נטוי נָטָ֣יוּ רַגְלָ֑י כְּ֝אַ֗יִן שפכה שֻׁפְּכ֥וּ אֲשֻׁרָֽי
- 3For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.כִּֽי קִ֭נֵּאתִי בַּֽהוֹלְלִ֑ים שְׁל֖וֹם רְשָׁעִ֣ים אֶרְאֶֽה
- 4For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.כִּ֤י אֵ֖ין חַרְצֻבּ֥וֹת לְמוֹתָ֗ם וּבָרִ֥יא אוּלָֽם
- 5They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.בַּעֲמַ֣ל אֱנ֣וֹשׁ אֵינֵ֑מוֹ וְעִם אָ֝דָ֗ם לֹ֣א יְנֻגָּֽעוּ

Psalm 73 original-language research
The Hebrew lines shown beneath the KJV text come from the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) data in YHWSA. The chapter vocabulary below is ranked from verse-level Strong's tagging; grammatical particles are omitted so meaningful terms remain visible.
the heart (as the most interior organ)
(by implication) very widely used as a relative conjunction or adverb (as below); often largely modified by other particles annexed
I
lo!
to know (properly, to ascertain by seeing); used in a great variety of senses, figuratively, literally, euphemistically and inferentially (including observation, care, recognition; and causatively, instruction, designation, punishment, etc.)
a nonentity; generally used as a negative particle
a particle of affirmation, surely; hence (by limitation) only
gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative
the Lord (used as a proper name of God only)
perhaps properly, to arrange; but used figuratively (of words), to speak; rarely (in a destructive sense) to subdue
Hebrew verse gematria
YHWSA calculates these totals directly from every consonant in the tagged Hebrew source line using the Carlo Suarès letter-number system; vowel points and cantillation marks do not add values. The totals are not reverse-mapped from English. A matching number is a comparison to investigate, not proof that two passages mean the same thing.
