Leviticus 3 original-language research
The Hebrew lines shown beneath the KJV text come from the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB) data in YHWSA. The chapter vocabulary below is ranked from verse-level Strong's tagging; grammatical particles are omitted so meaningful terms remain visible.
fat, whether literally or figuratively; hence, the richest or choice part
(the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jeho-vah, Jewish national name of God
to approach (causatively, bring near) for whatever purpose
used very widely as demonstrative, lo!; interrogative, whether?; or conditional, if, although; also Oh that!, when; hence, as a negative, not
something brought near the altar, i.e., a sacrificial present
a kidney (as an essential organ); figuratively, the mind (as the interior self)
an altar
properly, the nearest part, i.e., the center, whether literal, figurative or adverbial (especially with preposition)
properly, a burnt-offering; but occasionally of any sacrifice
the face (as the part that turns); used in a great variety of applications (literally and figuratively); also (with prepositional prefix) as a preposition (before, etc.)
Hebrew verse gematria
YHWSA calculates these totals directly from every consonant in the tagged Hebrew source line using the Carlo Suarès letter-number system; vowel points and cantillation marks do not add values. The totals are not reverse-mapped from English. A matching number is a comparison to investigate, not proof that two passages mean the same thing.
